It's official, the Toyota Fortuner has received its mid-cycle update for the 2018 model year and gets a plethora of upgrades both inside and out. First to receive the refreshed pickup-platform vehicle (PPV) is the Thai market.
In the latest update, 4WD is now available for the 2.4-liter V turbo-diesel powered Fortuners. Originally, the 4WD was only equipped in the top-spec 2.8-liter V variants. In addition, all but the base model 2.4 G now have rear disc brakes as standard, replacing the previous drum brakes.
The engines, on the other hand still produce the same amount of power as before. The smaller engine puts out 150 PS with 400 Nm of torque while the bigger motor generates 177 PS with 450 Nm of torque.
As for its exterior, the 2018 Fortuner gets new LED foglights, new side indicator turn signals and revised side step boards. Inside, the front passenger now also benefits from an 8-way power adjustable seat.
There is no word yet when will the refreshed 2018 Fortuner will arrive in the Philippines.
