Always fancied the Bentley Bentayga but find the W12 way out of your price range? The luxury British automaker has recently launched the ‘entry-level’ Bentayga Diesel in the region at the on-going 39th Bangkok International Motor Show.
Beginning with the exterior, the Bentayga Diesel looks visually similar to its W12 and twin-turbo V8 counterpart, with no noticeable differences except for the V8 diesel badges embedded on the lower front door edge. It also sports a slightly revised tailpipe design and is fitted with 20-inch wheels. Step inside, and everything available on both gasoline powered variants can also be had on this diesel model.
The major difference would be found under the hood. Rather than a W12 or the more recently revealed twin-turbo V8, a 4.0-liter ‘triple-charged’ diesel V8 has been fitted which produces 435 PS and 900 Nm of torque. This allows the luxury SUV to reach a top speed of 270 km/h and capable of doing 0-100km/h in only 4.8 seconds.
Thanks to their latest green technology, Bentley claims that the new Bentayga Diesel also emits the lowest CO2 rate among all other models. It is also said to feature a cruising distance of 1,000 km in just one full tank.
Should you happen to be in Bangkok, Thailand, you may head to the 39th Bangkok International Motor Show at the Impact Challenger Hall to take a closer look at the ‘entry-level’ Bentayga in person.
