What was thought to be the updated Ferrari FF turned out to be the model’s replacement. Called the GTC4 Lusso, the new Ferrari features a more curvaceous exterior, along with a new infotainment system and a more powerful V12 motor.

Beginning with its front fascia, it gets updated headlights, grill, front bumper and hood. Moving towards the side, it gets cooling vents, 5-spoke alloy wheels and a character line that runs along the front fenders and doors. The defined wheel arches have been carried over from the FF however.

Rear quarter of the Ferrari GTC4 Lusso

While the front and side carry similar styling cues from the FF, the rear is unique to the GTC4 Lusso. Dominating the rear is a set of dual taillights and exhaust pipes and new bumper-integrated diffuser. The tailgate, roof-mounted spoiler and more upright D-pillar complete the exterior design of the GTC4 Lusso.

Dimension-wise, it measures 4,922mm long, 1,980mm wide and 1,383mm tall. Compared to the FF, the GTC4 Lusso is 15mm longer, 27mm wider and 4mm taller.

Over to the cabin, signature Ferrari instruments like the steering wheel, white-tachometer and circular aircon vents can be seen inside the GTC4 Lusso.

Inside the Ferrari GTC4 Lusso

Like its predecessor, it has four racing bucket seats that are upholstered in leather. The centerpiece inside the GTC4 Lusso is the 10.25-inch HD display that manages the infotainment system.

Under the hood, lives the naturally aspirated 6.3-liter V12 that has been upgraded to crank out 690 PS at 8000 rpm and 697 Nm at 5750 rpm (FF produced 660 PS and 682 Nm of torque). Transferring power to all four wheels comes courtesy of a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox.

With the added oomph, the GTC4 Lusso can sprint from 0 – 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds before reaching a top speed of 335 km/h.

Besides the more powerful motor and the updated interior and exterior, Ferrari also incorporated active rear-wheel steering with the Slip Slide Control. The system works with the electronically controlled differential and dampers; allowing the GTC4 Lusso to handle snow, wet or low-grip roads as claimed by Ferrari.

Ferrari will officially be revealing the car in the metal at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show next month.
