After teasing the car's aerodynamics and engine specs, McLaren has officially revealed the 675LT ahead of its scheduled debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.

Labeled by the company as their 'most track focused, yet road legal model in the McLaren Super Series', the automaker claims that this is the lightest in its segment as it features a tuned engine and reworked aerodynamics that gives the supercar a power-to-weight ratio of 549 PS per tonne.

Outside it sill resembles the current generation of McLaren supercars but the front gets an extended carbon fiber splitter and an additional cooling intake. It has carbon fiber side sills that channel incoming air from the front and guides it toward the 675LT's distinct 'LongTail' at the rear. According to McLaren, the LongTail is 50-percent bigger than the one found on the 650S but is lighter due to its carbon fiber structure.

To further reduce weight and improve aerodynamics, it has center mounted titanium exhaust pipes that exit through the exposed bodywork just below the large wing which saves 1.1 kg of weight and also optimizes performance claimed McLaren. The engine cover features a lightweight polycarbonate screen while the rear carbon fiber bumper was designed to reduce air pressure over the rear wheels.

In total, the McLaren 675 LT just tips the scale at 1,230 kg, 100 kg lighter than any other McLaren automobile.

The cabin gets a driver-focused finish and consist of two lightweight carbon fiber bucket seats upholstered in Alcantara. It has red accents and stitching present on the seats, center console and door sills while the steering wheel is also wrapped in Alcantara and is highlighted with splashes of carbon fiber.

As previously reported, the 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine now produces 675 PS and 700 Nm of torque after McLaren changed over 50-percent of the parts. Among the components replaced include: more efficient turbos, revised cylinder heads and exhaust manifolds, a new camshaft, lightweight connecting rods and a faster-flowing fuel pump. It is mated to a 7-speed sequential gearbox that allows it to sprint from 0 – 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds before hitting a top speed of 330 km/h.
