Lamborghini has officially launched an all-new open-top supercar after displaying the Centenario Roadster during the 2016 Monterey Car Week in California at “The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering”.

As homage to their founder, Ferruccio Lambhorgini, designers were free to construct an open design symbolizing the company's original qualities and reflecting the statement that “form follows function”.

The Centenario Roadster's exterior features a monobody shape figure and low overhangs at the front. With carbon fiber extensively used throughout the body and chassis, the new open top model only weighs in at 1,570 kg and has a power-to-weight ratio of 2.04 kg/PS. The Roadster is painted in a special silver exterior color called Argento Centario made especially for the Centenario Roadster.

As displayed in Monterey, customers can customize their Centenario to any paint finish such as exposed carbon fiber from Lamborghini’s Ad Personam personalization program. Also, its Y-shaped LED lights make the Centenario Roadster distinct whether it's day or night. Meanwhile, its rear wing can extend up to 150 mm and rotates up to 15 degrees which helps in optimizing aerodynamic efficiency.

Another feature especially made for the Roadster is its advanced interior aerodynamics. While the front windscreen was shaped in a way to lessen turbulence, the frameless windows, on the other hand provide to provide better visibility.

The Centenario Roadster offers the most powerful engine that Lambhorgini has made, a naturally aspirated V12 engine delivering 770 PS. It can go from 0 – 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds before reaching a top speed of more than 350 km/h.

Other features include: satellite navigation and a 10.1-inch high definition touchscreen. The advanced infotainment system supports internet and email browsing, social media apps, and even has an onboard telemetry system which allows the driver to record and compare speeds, times and lateral G Force data.

Also, Apple CarPlay comes as standard which can be used for calls, navigation, music and iPhone integration. etc. Lastly, there are two optional interior cameras which if the driver wanted to record their driving experiences.

Same with its Coupe counterpart, Lamborghini will be producing the Centenario Roadster with a limited number of 20 units in 2017 worldwide.
