A few months ago, Isuzu Philippines Corp. (IPC) launched the refreshed mu-X in the country for the 2018 model year. Aside from benefitting from a new Euro 4 turbo-diesel, the automaker also gave the exterior and interior of the SUV a once over and made it sleeker and more refined.
Aside from the Philippines, the Chinese market is also set to receive the refreshed mu-X soon. However, unlike the facelifted model offered in our country, the China-spec mu-X will apparently get a new interior.
Based on the leaked photo shown above, the dashboard appears to have been redesigned completely, as well as the climate control system. Unlike the mu-X's blocky and utilitarian look that we get, the China-bound mu-X will have a more upscale finish that makes it look a lot like a more premium SUV.
What appears to be pieces of wood trim and acres of soft-touch materials blanket the cabin while the aircon vents now have a more cohesive design. Placed at the center is what looks to be new tablet-inspired infotainment system. By the looks of it, the new system may support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Lastly, the steering wheel appears to have been given a revision as well.
There is no word if this purported new interior design for the mu-X will be made available to other markets outside China.
