With just a week away before the start of the 2016 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), Kia released a teaser image of a new SUV concept bound for Detroit.

According to Kia, the new concept will take their design language in a new direction. Moreover, the SUV was designed by the automaker's California design studio and will have an array of state-of-the-art tech that emphasizes on health and wellness.

The automaker also hinted that the change in the design language may allow them to style a possible future premium large SUV to add to their lineup.

The concept's name was not revealed but the SUV itself does feature a metallic paint finish, distinct alloy wheels, muscular wheel arches, slightly-kinked third-row window and what appears to be vertical taillights.

It will officially be revealed on January 11, 2016 at the COBO Center in Detroit, Michigan during the NAIAS.
