Official: 2018 Mitsubishi prices with excise taxes are now out

Mitsubishi Motors releases official 2018 pricing with excise tax

Still wondering how much Mitsubishi vehicles will cost this year?

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) officially releases their 2018 pricing with new excise taxes factored in (At least for most of their models), after much anticipation.

MMPC is the fourth automaker to release their updated pricing for vehicles affected by the new excise tax under the Republic Act 10963, or the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN).

Much like other brands which released their new pricing matrix, all Mitsubishi models will be more expensive this year; with the exception of the ASX, Lancer and Pajero which will be sold at the same price.

Prices of the Mirage model assembled locally under the government's CARS program will also go up between PhP 10,000 to Php 14,000.

Montero Sport models experienced the biggest increase between Php 96,000 to Php 121,000; with the exception of the base GLX 2WD M/T which only increased by Php 6,000.

Despite the new tax reform law favoring pickup models, Mitsubishi's L200 and Strada lineup have not experienced price drops as seen from the Toyota list. This is because their inventory arrived before the tax reform took effect. They will release new pricing at a later date.
