Official: Suzuki PH releases 2018 pricing with excise tax on all models

Here's how the excise tax affected Suzuki's price list for 2018

Last February, the automaker released an updated price list on select models like the Vitara, Jimny and APV. Now, Suzuki's entire lineup of cars gets a price increase due to the excise tax.

Starting with the brand's smallest offering, the Alto 800, its price has gone up from Php 429,000 to Php 445,000. The slightly bigger Celerio also received a moderate price hike and now retails for Php 558,000 for the M/T and Php 598,000 when specified with a CVT. Over to the Swift, the B-segment hatchback's price only went up as high as Php 10,000.

However, their B-segment sedan, the Ciaz, received a significant surge in price. The base model GL M/T now retails for Php 795,000 while the mid-range GL A/T is selling for Php 845,000. Opt for the top-of-the-range GLX however, and one has to cough up Php 953,000.

Also receiving a modest price hike is the Ertiga MPV. The entry-level GA gets a Php 24,000 increase while both the manual and automatic GL get a Php 47,000 price hike. Meanwhile the range-topping GLX's price went up by Php 37,000.

Finally, Suzuki's humble Super Carry Diesel and APV utility van also received a Php 30,000 and Php 10,000 increase respectively.
