Suzuki Philippines updates its subcompact segment offerings with the all-new Alto 800 and Swift Dzire. The new models aim to bolster the brand’s small fuel-efficient car offerings.

The latest iteration of the Alto 800 is considered a major exterior styling overhaul compared to its dated predecessor. The new version styled by Maruti Suzuki designers in India features a ‘Wavefront’ design, sloping window lines and a swaying roof. The interior was also refreshed with a more spacious feel. The 800cc engine has re-tuned for better performance and efficiency with 11 percent more torque and 15 percent less fuel consumption resulting in a fuel mileage figure of 22.74 kilometers per liter.
Alto 800 STD (Standard) is available in Silver and White, while Alto 800 DLX (Deluxe) has Red, Gray, Blue and White colors and retails at P388,000 and P438,000, respectively.
The new Swift DZire, a three-box sedan version of the popular Swift hatchback. Under the hood is a 1.2-liter K-series engine with Variable Valve Timing (VVT) capable of 87 PS @ 6000rpm and 114 Nm @ 4000rpm mated to a manual transmission. The Swift Dzire is priced at PhP568,000 and will come in Blue, Gray, Silver and White colors.
